This course is geared toward captive owners, board members and audit committee members, as well as others who are looking for a deeper understanding of the underlying financial reporting components of captive insurance companies.
Participants will examine the accounting standards, important internal controls and financial statement assertions associated with the significant accounts on the balance sheet and income statement of a captive insurance company. Insurance company income tax issues will also be covered.
Online Course
In addition to self-paced reading and assignment work, students will be required to attend three webconference sessions, participate in a pre-recorded lecture and complete one week of follow up assignments.
