Lesley Thompson has joined Willis Towers Watson in 2020 and taken on the leadership of the Cayman office subject to the requisite regulatory approvals. Lesley brings over 20 years insurance management experience to the team having served in multiple jurisdictions both on and offshore. After 5 years with Aon in Bermuda, Lesley moved to the Cayman Islands in 2005 where she has worked with multi-jurisdictional independent captive managers and for the past 4 years has led the insurance management services of the Maples Group.

In addition to being a Chartered Management Accountant, Lesley is a Fellow of Captive Insurance and an Accredited Director. Lesley is also a Faculty Member, Director and the current President of the Board of International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE). Lesley is experienced in all stages of the life cycle of captives, from incorporation to liquidation and also has extensive knowledge of all types of captives including but not limited to Single Parent, Association, Group, Agency, Not-for-Profit, Private Placement Life & Annuity, Rent-a-Captive, Segregated Portfolio Companies, Insurance Linked Securities (“ILS”), Side-Cars and Special Purpose Vehicles (“SPV’s”). She has multi-jurisdictional experience both on and off-shore.
