Sean Rider

Sean is a strategic leader specializing in the commercialization of innovation, technology, and analytics around risk. He is a proven collaborator in building differentiated product proposition, go-to-market strategy, and delivering winning client engagements. He is also C-Suite executive communicator and a management consultant operating at the intersection of risk, resilience, and finance strategy.

He is the Chief Revenue Officer at Once Concern, enabling better decisions for a better world. At One Concern, Sean is responsible for contributing to initial product design strategy, go-to-market strategy, and branding discussions in parallel with envisaging and building the organization’s distribution strategy and resultant team.

Previously, Sean spent nearly 14 years with Willis Towers Watson where he ultimately was part of a global leadership team focused on client development across the entire suite of Willis Towers Watson’s Risk & Analytics businesses and capabilities, focusing on major global initiatives, new product development and roll-out, and scale-able approaches to furthering their position as a market leader in this space.

During this time, Sean also continued to serve as a lead consultant across Willis Towers Watson’s strategic risk finance consulting capabilities which drew principally from the Strategic Risk Consulting practice, the Global Captive Practice, ART Solutions, Corporate Actuarial, and Core Analytics capabilities.
During his time at Willis, Sean also performed in several leadership roles in the Global Captive Practice, from North American and Global leadership roles in Captive Consulting & Development to service in the Global Captive Practice’s Executive Committee, and as an individual performer as a Senior Captive Consultant.

Sean is a recognized global thought leader in the strategic risk finance and captive space. He regularly speaks to the intersection of risk and finance strategy and related topics at finance executive forums and industry events. He frequently contributes to trade publications (principally through interviews), and he is an emeritus faculty member of the International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE).
