Program Summary:
The webinar will look at the current COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on the Captive Insurance industry. We will discuss the impact on the captive market so far, including requests for loans, dividends and endorsements. We will talk about the response of the traditional insurance market, including the pulling of profit projections, legislation introduced, and lawsuits filed. We will also explore the projected impact on the creation of new captives and new coverages, the closure of captives due to failure of parents, the shift of investment strategies, and the impact on loss reserve opinions and events on renewal pricing models.
