Press Release – March 22, 2022

Here are some recent updates from ICCIE, the official education program of the captive insurance industry.

ICCIE Graduates Its 600th ACI

We are delighted to announce that ICCIE has reached a huge milestone:  this week we awarded the 600th Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) designation.  First launched in August of 2004, ICCIE has had a continuous stream of graduating ACIs, along with those obtaining the Certificate in Captive Insurance (CCI), and still others completing individual courses “a la carte.”  In addition to the 600 graduated ACIs there are another 1,500 who have begun the ACI or who have taken individual courses en route to an ACI.  The requirements to obtain the ACI (9 courses and 3 standalone webinars) are significant, and the completion of the ACI is a meaningful accomplishment — congratulations to ALL recent graduates (see the list below)!

ICCIE Developing TWO New Courses

It’s been several years since ICCIE added new courses to its curriculum, and we are excited to announce that we are adding TWO new offerings, beginning late this year and early next year.  While we are not yet announcing the details of the new courses, we are sure that there will be a healthy interest in both courses, and one of them will be available via a new delivery method for ICCIE.  Please keep an eye out in the next couple of months for additional announcements about our new offerings – we can’t wait to unveil them!

Remembering Jeff Kehler, and an ICCIE Scholarship in his name

The industry lost a well-known and well-loved champion earlier this year with the passing of Jeff Kehler.  But many of you may not know that he played an important role at ICCIE, where he taught two courses and co-developed one of them.  Everyone who knew Jeff recognized his passion for education, so we’re pleased to announce that Somers Risk Consulting has offered to sponsor a full ACI scholarship to ICCIE in Jeff’s name.  We will be releasing details soon, but this scholarship will begin in 2022.  We all know that Jeff would be delighted with this development.

  • NCCIA
  • WRCIC

I look forward to seeing you there!

ICCIE’s Job Board

In case you were not aware – ICCIE has a free job board for those seeking positions and for employers seeking to fill positions.  With the very tight job market, I urge you to be sure that you don’t miss an opportunity to make use of this free resource:
