ICCIE Elective Course - Understanding the Intricacies of Cell Captives
Duties: Mike joined Marsh Halifax in 2008. In June 2011 he accepted a position with Marsh Cayman.

Mike has direct responsibility for the daily operations and financial reporting for a portfolio of 7 single parent captives and 2 SPC’s. Over the last few years Mike has been involved in a number of Captives with various insurance structures and programs. His responsibilities include acting as the primary client contact, ensuring accounts are produced and delivered in accordance with all standards and agreed timetables and ensuring companies are in compliance with the Cayman Islands’ Insurance Law and other relevant statutory requirements.

Business Experience: •       2008 – Present – Marsh – Captive Solutions, See above Duties.

•       2005 – 2008  Atlantic Living Property Management (Halifax). Prior to joining Marsh, Mike worked as an assistant to the accountant. Mike was in charge of managing building profitability, and preparing documents required by financial institutions for re-financing purposes.

•       Co-Operators Insurance (Toronto) – Mike worked in accounts payable division for auto collision.
