Dan joined Premier Insurance Management Services, Inc. (PIMS) as Director of Law Department Operations in 2002. He is responsible for managing hospital and physician claims, for both primary and excess programs, from the Charlotte, NC service center. He has also played a major role in developing information systems and procedures facilitating the growth of PIMS in the professional liability market and as a third party administrator for claim and risk services.

Dan has been in the insurance industry for 35 years, 25 years of which have been spent in managing professional liability claims for physicians and hospitals, with the majority of those years spent in claim supervisor and officer positions. He has played a major role in developing policy language for primary HPL programs, and critically examining insurance company processes to enhance efficiency and value to the customer.

Prior to joining PIMS, Dan served in several positions for The GE-Medical Protective Company in Fort Wayne, Indiana, as a Vice President-Regional Director in the Law Department, as Vice President of Quality and finally as Vice President of Operations.
