Elizabeth is the managing director of the Risk Finance and Captive Consulting (RFCC) practice. In this role, she is responsible for a team of people that consult with clients to evaluate and develop unique solutions using alternative financing methods either in conjunction with or distinct from traditional insurance markets.

Experience
Elizabeth joined Aon in 2016. Elizabeth served as the Director of Risk Management and Insurance at the Archdiocese of New York. Prior to her risk management role, Liz established the captive and insurance management operations in the U.S. for HSBC and provided captive consulting and management services to its clients. In her early career, Liz was an captive account manager for Johnson & Higgins, a risk financing underwriter at AIG, and an audit and tax manager at KPMG specializing in insurance, reinsurance, and alternative risk structures. Elizabeth has served as a director and officer for many captive insurance companies’ boards of directors as well as on committees for captive industry organizations and associations.

She first began working in the industry in 1989.

Expertise
Elizabeth’s expertise includes extensive experience both as a buyer and provider of risk management services. She focuses on captive solutions and has expertise in accounting, taxation, risk management, captive operations and management and alternative risk solutions.

Education
Elizabeth earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Champlain College.
She holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designations.
She is a Vermont licensed certified public accountant (CPA).

She is a Fellow with the International Center for Captive Insurance Education. She has held Director and Officer positions with multiple captive insurance companies and has served on various domicile Committees.
