This session will discuss the availability and impact of collateral on captives. There are a limited number of fronting options in the market and the amount of collateral needed can add significant cost and inflexibility to the captive and its owner. If not prepared, trapped collateral can bottle-neck captive owners’ balance sheets and thwart business plans. But, options exist to release collateral and continue successful operation of the captive and the owners’ business.
